Co-director, Duke Reporters' Lab
Mark Stencel is co-director of the Duke Reporters' Lab and visiting faculty at the DeWitt Wallace Center for Media & Democracy in Duke's Sanford School of Public Policy. He previously was managing editor for digital news at NPR and held senior editing and executive positions at the Washington Post and Congressional Quarterly. He is co-author of studies on the news industry's evolution for the Reporters' Lab (http://goatmustbefed.com) and CUNY's Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism (http://bit.ly/news-superpowers) and the author of an American Press Institute report on the impact of political fact-checking (http://bit.ly/factcheckthis).
