Tom Sewall has been Director of Operations and Circulation of The Republican newspaper since January 2011. Sewall began his career with The Gannett Company, working at several of their production facilities. For most of his profession, he has worked for Advance Publications, including Kalamazoo, Michigan and now at The Republican.
For six years, he oversaw the construction of the Naples Daily News, a $100 million-dollar capital project in Naples, Florida. Sewall has rebuilt, renovated, and consulted on several other multi-million-dollar production facilities. For the last eight years, his efforts have resulted in significant growth in commercial print revenue, with minimal or no capital costs. Sewall has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from Iowa State University. He resides in the greater Springfield area
