Bigger isn't always better. Small newspaper markets present big opportunities.
Jason Sethre spent the first 15 years of his newspaper career climbing the corporate ladder of the industry in operations in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin – working in various leadership roles at mid-sized dailies, weeklies, and shoppers.

Sethre Media Group, Inc. was born as a newspaper company, and has adopted a strategic vision revolving around an eclectic mix of media, marketing, and technology; adding multiple brands to the traditional print model.
In spite of relentless competition, the struggles of empty storefronts in small town America, and a stagnant population, Sethre's media company has continued to grow and evolve every year.
There are a few key ingredients that he'll share in this breakout session that have made all the difference in the world. You better wear shades, because the future looks bright for small newspapers!
