Rosanne Cheeseman has over 30 years experience in the newspaper industry, working for 3 family-owned companies and one publically traded company. She launched her newspaper career at the Edgerton Reporter in Wisconsin working for a decade primarily on their Directions Magazine product for college students. Cheeseman spent the next 10 years at Lee Enterprises leading the corporate sales team and launching Lee’s successful blitz team strategy. She facilitated Lee’s training programs for sales managers and sales reps. After several corporate and enterprise positions, she ended her career at Lee as publisher of the Rapid City Journal. In 2007 she was hired as CEO and publisher of the Erie Times-News where she retired at the end of 2013. She is now the executive director of ING, the Independent Newspaper Group, facilitating discussion and planning meetings for a group that she was an active participant in during her 6 year tenure in Erie. In addition, she is a frequent interim publisher fulfilling short term assignments for newspapers in transition. She is also a director of the Observer Publishing Company and has served on their board since 2014.
